Batur Lake is the old crater of Mount Batur, a still active volcano next to it. It is located on the northern part of Bali. The largest lake overshadowed by the active volcano is located in Bangli Regency, at the northeast of Bali. Batur Lake is the widest lake in this island. It lies down in the feet of Mount Batur and Mount Abang. The lake is classified as a “neutral-dilute” lake because there is no known underlying hydrothermal activity, and the abundant rainfall more than quenches any such activity. There is a hot spring right by the lake. We can enjoy the spectacular scenery of Batur Lake from Kintamani. Across the lake, only reachable by boat, lies Trunyan village, where the Bali Aga people live. The surrounding of the lake is a favorite place for picks self up. Instead of cremating the dead, as Balinese do throughout most of the island, the Trunyan communities leave the bodies to decompose naturally in a special cemetery.

Alas Purwo National Park is situated on Blambangan Peninsula, at the south eastern tip of East Java. The park’s name means “First Forest”, in accordance with a Javanese legend that says the earth first emerged from the ocean here. With an area of 434 km², the park is made up of mangroves, savanna, lowland monsoon forests and coral-fringed beaches. An internationally renowned surf break peels along the edge of the park at Plengkung, on the Bay of Grajagan. Mount Linggamanis (322m) is also located in this national park. Between the months of April and September, thousands of surfers from all over the world visit G-Land, which is about half a day’s travel from Bali. Plengkung, in the southern part of the Park, is almost legendary among the world’s top surfers. They call it “G-Land”. The name is derived from its location in Teluk Grajagan (Grajagan Bay), which resembles the letter “G”.Moreover, it is located a short distance from a stretch of tropical rain forest which always looks green (hence green land or “G-land”). Plengkung is one of the top four locations for surfing in the world and can be ranked alongside surf sites in Hawaii, Australia, and South Africa. Walking along the white sand beach from Trianggulasi to Plengkung, visitors will come across an area of buckshot-like sand. The grains are yellow in colour and have a diameter of around 2.5 mm. Sadengan is the feeding ground for wild animals in the area of Alas Purwo National Park. The visitors can see the wild animals such as wild bull, barking deer, wild pig, peacock, jungle fowl and many kind of birds.

Mount Merapi or Gunung Merapi in Indonesian language (bahasa), is a conical volcano in Central Java, Indonesia. It is the most active volcano in Indonesia and has erupted regularly since 1548. Its name means Mountain of Fire. It is very close to the city of Yogyakarta, and thousands of people live on the flanks of the volcano, with villages as high as 1700 m above sea level. Several of its eruptions have caused fatalities. It was erupting from 1992 to 2002, and a particularly large explosion killed 43 people in 1994. It began erupting again in 2006, and scientists believe a large eruption is imminent. In light of the hazards it poses to populated areas, it has been designated a Decade Volcano. Merapi is the youngest in a group of volcanoes in southern Java. It is situated at a subduction zone, where the Indo-Australian Plate is sliding beneath the Eurasian Plate. It is one of at least 129 active volcanoes in Indonesia, part of the Pacific Ring of Fire – a section of fault lines stretching from the Western Hemisphere through Japan and South East Asia. Stratigraphic analysis reveals that eruptions in the Merapi area began about 400,000 years ago, and from then until about 10,000 years ago, eruptions were typically effusive, and the outflowing lava emitted was basaltic.

Setelah hampir seminggu menghilang karena liburan akhirnya saya kembali lagi, bukan karena tidak ingin menambah posting tapi karena keenakan jalan-jalan di tempat tujuan (Yogjakarta). Sama halnya seperti wisatawan lain nya yang tujuan jalan-jalan di Jogja adalah Jalan Malioboro dengan kerumunan penjual kaki lima dan oleh-oleh nya. Sebelum ke Jalan Malioboro, sekeluarga makan pagi di Warung Soto Kadipiro I di Jalan Wates dan untungnya tidak mengantri karena memang warung Soto ini terkenal karena rasa soto yang enak dan jujur aja porsi mangkok nya terlalu kecil bagi ku, terpaksa saya nambah 1 mangkok lagi, hehe. Jalan Malioboro Jogja dianggap sebagai pusat batik, karena dari ujung jalan satu ke ujung jalan lain nya banyak sekali toko batik dari yang harga 50 ribuan sampai jutaan, dari yang bermotif sederhana sampai motif yang unik, dan juga dari batik tulis hingga batik cap semua ada di sekitaran jalan Malioboro Jogja ini. Bisa dikatakan bahwa jalan Malioboro Jogja sebagai Wisata Batik, diantara toko batik yang sempat saya datangi adalah Toko Mirota Batik, Toko Batik Danar Hadi, Pasar Beringharjo, dll. Selama berjalan-jalan di Malioboro saya menyempatkan berwisata kuliner diantaranya di Warung Soto 61 yang menjadi salah satu langganan keluarga selama berjalan-jalan di Malioboro, dengan kuah soto yang bening dan rasa yang “seger” membuat kami sekeluarga tidak kecewa jauh-jauh datang ke Jogja. dan yang kedua ketika akan pulang kami membeli Lumpia Jogja yang sudah lama juga jadi langganan, penjual lumpia di samping Toko Batik Terang Bulan ini mempunyai varian isi diantaranya isi udang dan isi daging ayam, juga isi telur puyuh. Lumpia dengan kulit yang garing ini mempunyai aroma yang harum dan juga mempunyai rasa yang nikmat dan “Maknyos”. Dan pulangnya kami sempatkan makan malam di Warung Tongseng dan Gule Pak Dakir, yang pernah di datangi Pak Bondan Winarno dan kebetulan kami sekeluarga juga sudah berlangganan dari semenjak orang tua SMU. Perjalanan di Jogjakarta kami akhiri dengan pergi nyekar ke makam kakek dan nenek di daerah Magelang dan mengunjungi Es Combor, Gudeg Magelang, dan Nasi Goreng Bu Sutinah. hehe kalau dilihat-lihat isinya wisata kuliner mulu, kapan jalan-jalannya yah. Kalau sempet mampir ke jogja silahkan mampir2 kesana.
